There are only a few hotels on St. John. Caneel Bay Resort, a Starwood Company is one of them. Another hotel is the St. John Inn, located in the heart of Cruz Bay (pictured). There is also the Westin.
Most guests to the island rent a vacation home (also called a villa) for a week or more.
Vacation rental villas are available for rent by owner or through dozens of property management companies, not all of which reside on-island. When booking your vacation to St. John Island, those who live and work there will be most knowledgeable and able to help you with your trip planning.
Visitors to St. John Island who are interested in getting down to nature will find the ultimate camping experience at Cinnamon Bay Campground (on the North Shore) and Concordia Eco-Resort (on the South side, near Salt Pond Bay).
Cinnamon Bay offers areas to pitch your own tent, or you can rent a cottage with varying amenities. Cinnamon Bay campground is situated right on the white sandy beach of Cinnamon Bay and has a restaurant and small grocery store for guests on-site.
Concordia Eco-Resort offers visitors canvas covered tents with solar panels, running water and coolers. Concordia also has a pool and is within walking distance of the calm, clear blue cove of Salt Pond Bay and the eccentric coral statues at Trunk Bay, both managed by the Virgin Islands National Park. Concordia Eco-Resort has a restaurant and a small grocery store on-site. The Concordia restaurant is famous for its Open Mic on Monday afternoons, managed by talented local musicians Johnny B and Lauren.
